Darby was raised on a horse ranch near Bartlesville, where he developed a deep love for animals and the outdoors. He attended Oklahoma State University with the ambition of becoming a large animal vet. However, a combination of college jobs and a lack of enthusiasm for chemistry prompted him to shift his focus. He ultimately changed majors and found his true calling in home building.
As COO, Darby is responsible for overseeing the construction of our intricate sets and props, ensuring repairs are handled efficiently, and providing training for Game Masters. His role is pivotal in crafting immersive environments that captivate players and elevate their experience. Additionally, Darby serves as Vice President at a well-known local home builder, where he continues to nurture his passion for creating homes and enriching the community.
When he’s not working, Darby enjoys spending quality time with his family, visiting the horse ranch to reconnect with his roots, and engaging in relaxing conversations with his saltwater fish.
Jan grew up in Kansas and pursued a degree in Accounting at Emporia College. Her academic journey took an unexpected turn when she fell for a handsome football player and decided to focus on raising a family. After dedicating time to her family, Jan returned to her passion for numbers, spending 35 years working for a prominent local oil and gas company.
As the Chief Financial Officer at Eleventh Hour Enigma, Jan brings extensive financial expertise, allowing Mel and Darby to concentrate on creating and building captivating escape experiences. Her role is crucial in managing finances and supporting the team’s creative endeavors.
Outside of work, Jan enjoys tending to her plants and her cat, Phoenix. She cherishes time spent with family, especially lounging by the pool with loved ones from both near and far.
Meet Lindsey, a versatile member of Eleventh Hour Enigma who proudly wears many hats, with her favorite being House Manager. A history fanatic, Lindsey was captivated by the escape experiences offered by Eleventh Hour Enigma, prompting her to apply for a position. Joining the team in the fall of 2019 as a Game Master, she honed her skills in puzzles and delivering exceptional customer experiences. Lindsey’s greatest joy in her role stems from connecting with wonderful people and witnessing the return of enthusiastic customers. When she’s not at Eleventh Hour Enigma, you might find her savoring a quality cup of coffee while exploring her favorite antique stores.
Madison began her acting journey when she was 12 years old, driven by a deep passion for storytelling that has shaped her life. Her love for games and puzzles, especially video games, has been a constant source of inspiration. As a Game Master, Madison discovered immense fulfillment in crafting immersive experiences and guiding players through thrilling challenges. Each game she leads presents a chance to intricately weave narratives and create moments that linger with participants well beyond the adventure’s conclusion. Madison eagerly looks forward to the privilege of leading your game—an experience she hopes will be treasured and remembered fondly!
Kendall, a game master since the Fall of 2023, has always harbored a fascination with the inner workings of escape games. Eager to pursue her passion, she swiftly seized the opportunity to join the team when it arose. Kendall finds immense joy in her role, citing the camaraderie with her colleagues and the pleasure of interacting with guests among her favorite aspects. Her affinity for puzzles extends beyond work, manifesting in her love for video games, board games, and the intricate challenges presented in escape rooms. Outside of work, Kendall can often be found immersed in a book, indulging in video games, or revisiting her favorite shows.
Hunter is thrilled to join Eleventh Hour Enigma’s team, fueled by his passion for acting since middle school. With over 50 productions in nine years, he cherishes roles like Arnold Wiggins in “The Boys Next Door”, Thénardier in “Les Misérables”, and Ali Hakim in “Oklahoma.”  Beyond acting, Hunter designs lights for productions such as “Jekyll and Hyde” and “Trap,” improvises with murder mystery dinner shows, and teaches children’s theatre classes. Grateful to family, friends, and colleagues for their unwavering support, he looks forward to sharing his love for theatre with guests at Eleventh Hour Enigma, aiming to create an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
Dominic, currently a theatre major at TTC, began his journey in high school as a technical director focusing on lighting and set construction, with occasional forays into acting and singing. At TCC, he has contributed both backstage and onstage to multiple productions. Dominic’s passions include woodworking, lighting, and creating special effects, fueled by his enthusiasm for theme parks. Aspiring to become an Imagineer, Dominic joined Eleventh Hour Enigma as a Game Master in summer 2024. He thrives on the interactive nature of guiding guests through games and values the historical and immersive aspects of the experiences offered at Eleventh Hour Enigma.
